Foreign residents who plan to stay in Japan for over 90 days should register at the Civic Affairs Division of the city office. You should complete the stipulated procedures in person when applying for registration.
Those who are under 16 years of age should have the registration application completed by a family member of the same household. Since documents such as a letter from your doctor might be required if you are unable to come to the city office because of illness, please call the city office as early as possible.
