Garbage and Recyclable Items Are Collected by Category

The city collects garbage and recyclable items separately according to designated categories. Pets

Dog Registration and Vaccination against Rabies

All pet owners with dogs three months of age (91 days old) or older are required by law to go to the city office to register their pet once in their lifetime and vaccinate their dog against rabies once a year. The city offers vaccinations against rabies every April. Please call for details concerning the schedule, location and cost for the vaccination.

Be Considerate of Others

When taking your dog for a walk, it is the responsibility of pet owners to carefully use a leash and clean up after their pet dogs and cats excrete. Particularly, if your pet dog or cat excretes in the sandbox of a park, then children will not be able to play there. Do not let your pet dog or cat go into the park sandbox play area.
